Emmanuel Eboue was one of the finest right-backs on the African football scene during his playing career. The ex-Ivorian national team player didn’t have a nomadic football career compared to some of his national team colleagues back them. Emmanuel Eboue played for five clubs only during his football career. His journey as a professional footballer started in his native Ivory Coast in the colours of ASEC Mimosas. ASEC Mimosas is widely regarded as the biggest and the most prestigious club in Ivory Coast.
At Arsenal, Eboue registered three appearances in the 2004/05 FA Cup title winning season but he was not given a medal since the Ivorian didn’t feature in the final. He was a member of the Arsenal squad that finished second in the League Cup twice (2006/07 and 2010/11) and also finished second behind Barcelona in the Champions League (2006/07). He enjoyed the best part of his career at Galatasaray in trophy terms as he won a lot of trophies with the Turkish team. Emmanuel Eboue won three league titles at Galatasaray following his move from Arsenal in 2011. He won the league title in his first two seasons before adding another title during the 2014/15 season. Emmanuel Eboue also won the Turkish Cup once and the Turkish Super Cup three times.
